Ranma ½ (televised series of animation)

Ranma ½ ( Ranma Nibun No Ichi ) is a Anime Japan board in 161 episodes 25 minutes (in French version, 19 minutes in the episode 1,20 minutes in episode 43 and the other episodes: 23 minutes), created in 1989 according to the Manga éponyme of Rumiko Takahashi and diffused in France as from September 1992 on TF1 in the Club Dorothée and repeated on Mangas. The first season is called Ranma ½ and comprises 18 episodes, the following seasons Ranma ½ nettō hen (Ranma ½ of the fierce combats, 143 episodes).

11 OAV 30 minutes, were created thereafter under the generic name of Ranma nibun No ichi , between 1993 and 1996, like 3 films: Ranma 1/2: Chūgoku nekonron daikessen! Okite yaburi No gekitō hen!! in 1991, Ranma 1/2: Kessen tōgenkyō! Hanayomewo torimodose! in 1992 and Ranma 1/2: Chō musabetsu kessen! Ranma TEAM VS Densetsu No hōō in 1994.

Synopsis

In order to ensure the succession the head of sound dojo, Soun Tendo wishes to marry one of his/her three daughters to the son of the one of his friends, Genma Saotome. But the Saotome family hides a terrible secrecy since during a voyage in China, undertaken in order to improve their techniques with martial arts, father and wire fell into one from the 109 cursed sources. Since, Ranma is transformed into girl in contact with cool water whereas his/her father becomes an enormous panda for its part and only of warm water allows them to find their normal appearance! The surprise is thus enormous for the Tendo family which accommodates Ranma and his/her father in their house and a conflict climate is not long in being established between Ranma and Akané, the girl junior, who with against heart and according to the desire of the two fathers, sees herself allotting the title of been engaged of the young boy.
