Randy Savage

Randall Mario Poffo (born the November 15th 1952), more known under its name of boxing ring " Macho Man" Randy Savage , is a American all-in wrestler . Savage will have had importance with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and later with the World Championship Wrestling. For most of its passage to the WWF, he was managed by his true wife Miss Elizabeth, with whom he marrié the December 30th 1984.

Beginnings

Savage was born with Columbus, Ohio of Angelo Poffo, Italian-American a Catholique and of Judy, American a Jewish. It has pousuit its studies with the Downers Grove North High School in the surroundings of Chicago in the Illinois. It obtained its diplomas in 1971. Randy became thereafter jouruer with the Minor league baseball in the St Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox. Its right-hand man was naturally wounded, which obliged it to learn how to launch with the left arm. When Poffo played for the team of St Petersburg Cardinals in 1971, one of its fellow-members was Keith Hernandez. The team was directed by Jimmy Piersall. It is the second generation of all-in wrestler; his/her father Angelo Poffo was an all-in wrestler of re-elected in the Fifties and Sixties. The brother of Randy, Lanny, had a more modest career as an all-in wrestler, under the names of " Leaping Lanny Poffo" and " The Genius."

Randy was turned in beginning of the year 70 towards wrestling for the period of trève of the Base-ball. Its first character was synonymous with Spider-Man. It is interesting besides to note that it appeared later in the film Spider Man as an all-in wrestler in 2002. Its name Randy Poffo changed after a suggestion of the script writer of the Georgia Championship Wrestling Ole Anderson, which said that the name Poffo did not show somebody who " like a savage (savage) " catchait;. When it decided to stop its career in the baseball, he full-time became fighter at the sides of his brother and his father. He made its first match against the " Boy" golden delicious; Paul Christy. Randy worked with his/her brother and father in Michigan, the Caroline, Georgia, the Maritime ones, and in the territory of Tennessee directed by Nick Gulas.

At the end of a certain time, his/her father felt that its films were not proposed enough, which encouraged it to create the International Championship Wrestling (ICW) .

The ICW will be finally of short duration and Randy and Lanny joined Memphis, and the Continental Wrestling Association of Jerry Lawler (their former rival). Savage competed with Lawler for AWA Southern Heavyweight Championship whereas him and Lanny fought The Rock “Roll Express ave cun famous match the June 25th 1984 with Memphis, where Savage (Kayfabe) wounded Ricky Morton in the piledrivant on a table, which gave the victory to the Express train by disqualification. World Wrestling Federation (1985-1994)

In June 1985, Savage signed with the World Wrestling Federation of Vince McMahon. One of the first appearances of Savage was with Tuesday Night Titans where a great number of managers of the WWF offered their service to Savage (in particular Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, and " Classy" Freddie Blassie). Savage rejettait all these offers, taking the beginner Miss Elizabeth like managing. It made its beginnings in Pay-per-view with The Wrestling Classic the November 7th 1985, where it beat Ivan Putski, Ricky " the Dragon" Steamboat, and the Dynamite Kid before falling vis-a-vis Junkyard Dog in a tournament to six. Junkyard Dog outside beat it by calculation finally.

It beat Tito Santana to gain WWF Intercontinental Championship with the Boston Garden in February 1986 by using an object out of illicit iron. In the beginnings of its career WWF, Savage gained also two victories per calculation outside with the Madison Square Garden over its future partner by team, the champion of the WWF Hulk Hogan (the belt outside did not change hands following the calculations) and entered brutal rivlaities with Bruno Sammartino and George " the Animal" Steele.

Wrestlemania III

Savage fought in what is regarded as one of the greatest match of the history of wrestling in North America against Steamboat with WrestleMania III with the Pontiac Silverdome. The match was the culminating point of long and large competition (which saw Savage breaking the Larynx of Steamboat in the Kayfabe). This match will have been that of the year 1987 according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and remains anchored as being true traditional.

The Mega-Powers

Savage became later face in 1987 after having received the encouragements inatendus of the fans for his charisma, its abilities on the boxing ring and the presence of Elizabeth Miss and thus began a competition with The Honky Tonk Man after this denrier this evening referred like the " the intercontinental great champion of all temps." With the Saturday Night' S Main Vent in October 1987 it solidified its statute of favorite of crowd when Elizabeth saved Hulk Hogan of a beating up of the men of Jimmy Hart, The Honky Tonk Man and the Hart Foundation. A few years later with the WWF, they started to have a true competition after Savage showed Hogan to have slept in the bed of Elizabeth during a voyage. Savage and Elizabeth divorced the September 18th 1992. Savage and Hogan have had a relation tended for this day. It was speculated that Savage struck Hogan in the front face WrestleMania IX , leaving Hogan with a black eye during the event. The history had finally appeared like not being true. WWE (then WWF) said that the black eye of Hogan had with an incident of jet-ski.
