Randy Brecker

Randy Brecker (born with Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, the November 27th 1945) is a American trumpet player. He is beacoup asked in the Jazz and the Rock. He recorded with Billy Cobham, Bruce Springsteen, Charles Mingus, Horace Silver, Jaco Pastorius and much of others.

Randy Brecker is the brother of Michael Brecker (born in 1949). They directed together Dreams and the Brecker Bros, a group of jazz funk fusion which recorded several albums in the years 1970.

After the separation of the Brecker Bros in 1982, Randy recorded and made rounds with the big band Word Of Mouth of Jaco Pastorius.

In 2001, Randy found his/her brother Michael for a round in Europe with an acoustic version of the Brecker Bros as well as the promotion of its album Hangin' In The City .

Its last CD for ESC, 34th NR Lex , left in April 2003, account eleven new compositions and arrangements with David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, Fred Wesley and Ronnie To cube, in addition to the usual group of Randy Brecker.
