Randan

Randan is a common French, located in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme and the area Auvergne.

Geography

History

Existence of a monastery " Monasterium Randanense" as of the 6th century, occupying the site of the current castle. Seigniory of Polignac at the 15th century. Set up in duchy at the 16th century then in duchy-peerage at the 17th century. The castle was transformed and embellished at the 19th century by Adélaïde of Orleans, sister of Louis-Philippe {{Ier}}; it was destroyed by a fire in 1925.
