Ramzi Abid

Ramzi Abid (born the March 24th 1980 with Montreal with the Quebec) is a professional player of Hockey.

Career in club

Playing wing, Abid begins its professional path in the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec under the shirt of the Saguenéens de Chicoutimi in 1996-97 and is chosen by the Avalanche of Colorado of the National league of hockey at the time of the fishing out 1998 in second round (28e choice). The clubs and the player not managing to get along on an agreement, it continues to play in the LHJMQ and joined in 1998-99 the Titan d' Acadie-Bathurst then two seasons later the Mooseheads de Halifax.

It represents with the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 2000 and is this time chooses by the Coyotes of Phoenix (85e choice). He does not play therefore immediately in the great league and joined the team reserves Coyotes: the Springfield Falcons of the American League of hockey. In March 2003, whereas the weather finally was its beginnings in the LNH, it is exchanged against Jan Hrdina Penguins de Pittsburgh.

He plays only little with Penguins and benefits from the end of the season to be made look after an old wound. In 2003-04 it plays 16 matches for Penguins and for the '' lockout '' 2004-05 I joined the team holds of Penguins: the Penguins de Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the LAH.

Before the beginning of the season according to, it joined the Thrashers of Atlanta but once again it passes major the part of time in the LAH (for the Wolves of Chicago) and decides to leave for the Saison LNH 2006-07 to the Predators Nashville.
