Ramallah

Ramallah is a Ville located in the zone of hills of the center of the Palestine, to approximately 15 km in the north of Jerusalem. The average altitude of the east city of 900 Mr.

The population, initially made up mainly of Christian, includes/understands since 1948 many Moslem refugees resulting from all Palestine. The city includes/understands approximately 40.000 inhabitants, 220.000 by counting those of the agglomeration formed by Ramallah and the 88 cities and villages which surround it.

Yasser Arafat was buried in a ground depend on the Mouqata' has , general headquarter of the Palestinian Autorité, located in the city.

A concert highly symbolic system took place in August 2005, in Ramallah: that of the Orchestra Westerner-Eastern Couch, directed by Daniel Barenboïm and cofondé by Edward Saïd (deceased in 2003), which gathers young Israeli musicians , Arab and Basque.
