Ramón Griffero
Ramón Griffero Sanchez is a author Chile in, Dramaturge Contemporain and Director of Théâtre, born with Santiago of Chile in 1952.
Biography
In 1971, it integrates the section of Sociologie of the Université of Chile which at that time, of popular government of Unité is a place of boiling and ideological reflection. The Coup d'etat of September 11th, 1973 marks the brutal stop of it, the university is closed and Ramón Griffero, among many students is constrained with expatrier.It goes in England where a purse enables him to complete its studies with the Université of Essex, after which, in 1976, it travels in India, then to the Sri Lanka where it saw some time and writes its thesis.
Starting from 1977, it settles in Belgium where an important community of Exilé S Chile ens. In 1978 resides, its desire of creation makes it study one year with the higher National institute of the performing arts with Brussels where it carries out a Short film, then to join the Center of theatrical studies of the Université of Leuwen-the-New. It puts in scene, in French his the first two works, Opéra for a Shipwreck , creation with the theatrical Atelier of Leuwen-the-New, then with the Chapelle of Boendael to Brussels, and Altazor Equinoxe , creation with the Brigittines.
It regains Santiago of Chile in 1982, taking along with him the Belgian Scénographe Herbert Jonckers which collaborated in creations of its first two spectacles. Together, it join together a troop of young actors and present Recuerdos del Hombre idiot known Tortuga work with which Ramón Griffero obtained the first price of the National competition of theater for the authors.
It takes part then in the foundation of the troop of the fine Théâtre of century , of which he becomes the director, and who settles in an old theatrical place of the Twenties, become since deposit of tram, which they christen the Trolley and transforms into place of cultural resistance. Of 1983 with 1987, three works following of Griffero are presented there, among other creations of which works of Kafka and Fassbinder.
Thereafter, Ramón Griffero directs creations of its works in various places, of which the National theater . It also carries out the setting in scene of artistic performances and achievements of various schools of theater. He teaches within the Université of Chile, the catholic Université and the Université Arcis (Art and social sciences), of which he becomes principal of theater.
He writes many articles and tests on the contemporary theater.
He gains many prices, nationals and international, some of its works are translated into several languages and are presented in festivals of Europe and America.
