Ralph Nader
Ralph Nader is a lawyer and politician of the the United States born the February 27th 1934 with Winsted, Connecticut. Graduate of Harvard and Princeton respectively in 1955 and 1958, it becomes famous for his campaigns in favor of the rights of the consumers as of the Années 1960 with association Public Citizen.
He presents himself to the presidential elections of 1996 and 2000 under the colors of the party American ecologist, the Green Party . Criticizing sometimes more bitterly still the democrats than the republicans, some reproached him for having led to the defeat of Al Gore in Florida in 2000, removing the few voices missing with the democratic candidate to him to beat George W. Bush. At the time of the presidential election of the United States of America 2004, with Peter Camejo like candidate with the vice-presidency, it gains two reasons to be presented in the form of a candidate of the Reform Party , by losing at the same time the nomination of the GP (which invested David Cobb) and the support of Michael Moore, which carried out a steep turn in favor of the democrats, considered not very front as clones of the republicans. On the War in Iraq, it wishes the withdrawal of the American troops and the development of a peace plan. It also connects the cost of a war based on an “erroneous” reasoning with the deterioration of the internal infrastructures (school, health, etc). As an ecologist, it militates finally for the Organic farming and the Environmental protection vis-a-vis theeconomic one.
He was also the only candidate who called into question the official version of the attacks of September 11th and bonds between Israel and the United States.
