Biography
After beginnings in Grand Prix on a Kawasaki of 80cm category at the time of the Grand Prix of Baden-Württemberg of 1986, it opens its prize list with a first victory in 1991 at the time of the Grand Prix of Germany. It changes category into 1994 to run in 250cm, category of which it becomes one of the best pilots. He sees himself however opposing to max Biaggi which dominates the category during its years with its four consecutive titles of 1994 to 1997. Waldmann finishes again second of the championship 1996 then in 1997, season during which it gains four victories and is preceded by the Italian pilot only of two points. Kenny Roberts then makes it possible to him to pass to the higher category of the 500cm on the Modenas. It finishes the season only with the 14th rank and turns over then in 250cm.After a last victory at the time of the Grand Prix of Great Britain at the time of the season 2000, it puts a term at its career in 2002. In 2003, it left one moment its retirement to run in MotoGP, but, in front of its problems to adapt to the four cylinders, it renonça before the end of the season.
