Ralambo
Ralambo is a sovereign of the country Merina (center of Madagascar) having reigned in second half of XVIe century. Ralambo was the son of the king Andriamanelo which it succeeded on the throne of Alasora. It continued the territorial expansion policy of his father then, after having conquered the area revolving around Tananarive, allotted to its kingdom the name of Imerina-Ambaniandro. Rather however that a " invention" , it is here about a simple officialization since name even was of use a long time before.
Like Andriamanelo, Ralambo also makes officiates of " hero civilisateur" and one makes go up with his reign the beginning of the consumption of beef, as well as the institution of the Fandroana and the system hova-andriana. This last set out again the subjects of the king in two groups of clans, namely the Andriana on a side and the Hova of the other, whose members were henceforth to compel themselves with the endogamy. Thereafter, this system was after a fashion widespread on the merina worldwide, as the heirs to Ralambo, who ended up unifying the territory, extended their capacity.
