Rain was supposed to appear in Mortal Kombat 3 , but it is finally in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 that he was a playable character. History

Rain comes from the antique kingdom of Edenia. When he was only one child, he was pilot invasion of his world by Shao Kahn. During the chaos which was followed from there, Rain left in smuggling while his/her father remained behind to carry out the performance of his duties as a general in the army which was crushed thereafter in the invasion of the forces of the Evil; his/her father was killed by Kahn. Since it had other choices only to fight for the chief of the armies of the Evil or to die, it knowingly turned the back on its native kingdom and chose the camp of Kahn. Without fear, it facilitated the plans of this last for its conquest of the Kingdom of the Earth. Exerted in the art of the combat, Rain fought of any heart to destroy the warriors of the Earth one by one. Its age is estimated at more than 10.000 years.

Memorable movements

Orb Mind-Control: Rain clearly projects a blue sphere on its adversary, which is immobilized and separated of the ground when it is touched. Rain can then direct in the airs the body in suspension during one half-second ( MKT , UMK3 ).
Lightning : Rain calls upon a flash which comes to strike its adversary and to send it valser in the airs, with the manner of an uppercut. Super Roundhouse: Rain is the only character to have this surpuissant kick, which sends far behind the adversary which reappears finally of the other with dimensions of the screen. Rain can thus connect with a second Super Roundhouse , but the third consecutive one as opposed to what does not send the character of the other with dimensions so that it is not possible to connect them infinitely, a rumor affirmed. Toilets Spray: Rain draws a jet from water with high pressure on the adversary, striking it temporarily. ( MK: With )

Around Rain

One of the codes in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 fact of appearing the message: “ Rain edge Be found in the Graveyard. ” (“Rain can be found in the Graveyard level”).
When Jade demolishes Rain in the Konquest mode, it says: “ Purple? Rain chooses his wardrobe most curiously. ” (“Crimson? Rain chooses its guard wraps well curiously”). It is surely a humorous reference to the guard wraps of the singer Prince.
Although he is regarded as a joke by much (considering its statute in UMK3) and that he appeared in few plays of the series, Rain is popular among the fans of Mortal Kombat.
