Raiffeisen
Raiffeisen is a Swiss group banking environment. More than 1200 banks belonging to Raiffeisen Suisse are disseminated on the Swiss territory. The bond between the banks and the Union is done by the means of regional federations. The banks form a dense network whose sales strategy is centered on the advantages offered by the proximity with the customers. Raiffeisen proclaims being “a bank which belongs to its customers”, in the direction where its customers, primarily local, consist of small and medium-size companies.
The system set up by Raiffeisen rests on a decentralization of the banks according to the ideas of Frederic-Guillaume Raiffeisen. Each establishment has a certain legal autonomy as a Coopérative but must at the same time respect certain strategic, logistic and commercial lines imposed by the group and the economy.
The exercise 2005 of the group enclosed by a benefit of 608 franc million.
In 2006, approximately 2,9 million Swiss is customers of the Raiffeisen banks.
