Rahart

Rahart is a common French, located in the department of Loir-et-Cher and the area Center. Its inhabitants is called Rahartoises and Rahartois.

Geography

Located between the Pole and the Beauce at 10 km at the North of Vendôme, Rahart is one of the most recent communes of Loir-et-Cher: it was created in November 1865 per decree joining together the communes of Espéreuse and Rouillis, now hamlets of Rahart.

History

Its church Saint-Raymond was built in 1877. With the hamlet of Espéreuse, one finds a small vault, vestige (sacristy) of the church, demolished in 1876, Commune of Espéreuse. It shelters the statues of the Virgin and Saint-Mamers.
