Books

"My meeting with Raghunath Manet, is one of the strong points of my musical, artistic and human life. Dancer and Indian musician of very first plan, Raghunath Manet, with much of talent and intelligence makes it possible its ancestral art to evolve/move and to be melted in the Occidental culture without to lose its identity.
Extremely scholar, this splendid artist is also a historian, and a musicologist impossible to circumvent who with passion and pedagogy, delivers to us the marvellous secrecies of his culture. This work is truly the essential reference for all those which wish to impregnate historical and technical roots of this so demanding art.
One will be able to also feel through this reading all humanity, generosity, the humility and the very great wisdom of its author. Indeed, it is not only one book of history or a theoretical handbook, but more especially a beautiful lesson of philosophy.
My love for India was born at the time of my first rounds in this country, there is more than twenty years. By reading this work, I found with much emotion the so particular and strong feelings which the richness of the Indian culture gets to us. Thanks to Raghunath Manet, I have today the keys necessary to seize all subtlety of it, that he is thanked for it for the bottom of the cœur."
