Rafael Frühbeck of Burgos , born the September 15th 1933 with Burgos (Castille-and-León), is a Spanish Leader .
Biography
Born German parents, he studies the Violon, the Piano and the composition with the academy of Bilbao then to that of Madrid while directing Opérette S. He works then the direction of orchestra to the Hochschule für Musik of Munich from where he leaves graduate and gains the price Richard Strauss. Its first station is with the head of the Symphony orchestra of Bilbao (1958-1962) before it is named musical director of the National orchestra of Spain (1962-1978).Its international career then leads it to the head of the Symphony orchestra of Montreal, of the Symphony orchestra of Vienna, of the Symphony orchestra of the radio of Berlin. Between 1992 and 1997, he is managing director of the music in Deutsche Oper of Berlin. He is also the regular guest of the European full orchestras and American (in particular, the Orchestre of Philadelphia with whom he made his American beginnings).
He is currently principal chief of the national Symphony orchestra of the SPOKE (Turin) and musical director of the Philharmonic orchestra of Dresden.
He created many works of contemporary type-setters: Alberto Ginastera, Joaquín Rodrigo, Joan Guinjoan, Cristóbal Halffter, Shine of Pablo.
Discography
Its discographic production is important. One distinguishes in particular his recordings from the Oratorio Elijah of Mendelssohn, of the Requiem of Mozart, Carmina Burana Carl Orff, Carmen of Georges Bizet as well as the integral work of Manuel of Falla.
