Radio Strasbourg Welcome

Radio Welcome Strasbourg or RBS is a noncommercial Local radio associative, which emits on Strasbourg since 1979. It emits on frequency 91.9 MHz of the band FM on Strasbourg and surroundings, like Internet.

Programming

General information

RBS is a radio which considers that the radio operators of the commercial sector put at the variation certain kinds like the musics known as " black" or electro. It thus decided to answer waiting of a specific public by stressing these kinds which (according to it) are subroutines, to see boycotted. It thus has three musical main axes which represent the major part of the time of antenna:

History

  • 1979 : First emissions as a pirate, in various places of the cities

  • March 4th, 1981: 1st emission under the name of Radio Welcome.
  • March 1982: Radio Welcome receives its first official authorization to emit on 91,9 FM.
  • March 22nd, 1985: Authorization to emit in regrouping with Radio operator Grand' Street, Radio Fight Strasbourg and Radio Ideas.
  • 1986 : Radio Welcome knows financial troubles following the loss of its independent source of income, that of FSER.
  • 1987 : Change of status
  • 1988: the FSER restores its financing after two years of interruption. Change of buildings and musical orientation.
  • 1991 : the radio turns definitively to the musics black and elektro
  • 1994: the antenna is delivered 23:00 to 7:00 to the DJ House and techno of the area.
  • 1995 : the operational budget ranges between 500.000 F and 600.000 F
  • 1997: the station leaves its buildings located beside the town hall of Schiltigheim for the High Way in Strasbourg.
  • 1998 : New departure with the constitution of a cultural drafting
  • 2002: Large financial problems of the association which is obliged to call upon the gifts of the listeners
  • 2003: Voluntary liquidation and placement in File for bankruptcy
  • 2005: Fine of the setting under supervision.
  • 2006 : New grid of the programs which stresses the live one. 6:00 at midnight, 18 hours of programs carried out into live and direct.
  • 2007: RBS celebrates its 25 years. For the occasion in the concerts are organized.
