Radio 3

Radio 3 is a Spanish public radio station belonging to the Radio Nacional de España, the public broadcaster of the Spanish State.

History

The station is founded in 1979 under the name of Radio 3 to replace it Tercer Programmed . The objective is then to intend it to the young people, in a country in full democratic transition. It then diffuses music and emissions of talk. The new direction, named by the new Socialist government, carries out some changes. Thus news bulletins to half of certain hours appear. In October 1983 Radio 3 emits 24 hours a day. In October 1985 the station seeks to touch Spanish youth while launching Las 48 Horas , a musical format 48 hours diffused the weekend intersected with news bulletins and a cultural guide. The cultural format of the radio is called into question by Fernando Argenta, become director in November 1986. It decides that the emissions will be done on line and concentrates the station on the music, while the cultural emissions are done less present. In 1990 the direction of RNE and the council of the RTVE decide to make Radio 3 a musical station. The new grid is launched in 1991. The nomination of Jose Shine Ramos to the direction of Radio 3 in 1996, due to the change of the direction with the RTVE Entraine a new turn: the magazines return to the antenna, the objective being to increase the audience. The arrival in 2000 of Federico Volpini to the direction of the radio involves the continuation of this evolution with the arrival of additional contents. Thus the radiophonic fiction makes its appearance, as other emissions such Las delay of Armageddon , dedicated to the books, a espacio idiot jazz , devoted to the Jazz, or Videodrome , which speaks about the Cinéma.
