Radicular surfacing

Of English " root planning" , indicates the mechanical work of disinfection of the surface of the root of the teeth in order to obtain the D-attachment of the gum (closing of the Poche parodontale).

This work is carried out, generally under local anesthesia. It will be preceded by a meticulous descaling of surface to treat. By smoothing of the surface of the root a thickness of this one is eliminated. This decontamination of surface makes it possible to obtain a mechanical disinfection of this one.

Radicular surfacing is done, generally, by not-surgical way. According to the severity of the lesions or their complexity, a surgical access will be indicated.
