92700 Doves |} The Racing club of France 92 is the section Football RCF. The club is based with Colombes, suburbs western of Paris. The club bore a long time the name of Racing Club of Paris , but found its original name in 2005. Chaired by Jean-Michel Jacquot, Racing evolves/moves this season in Championnat of France Amateurs. Racing has just been begun again on June 6th, 2007 officially by Marc Eisenberg (chairman of Alma Consulting Group) and Patrick Getreide (managing director of Desk).

Beginnings of Racing

The Racing club of France is a general sports club of the Parisian West which is born in 1882. It is the athletics which has the favors of the " first of all; Sky and Blanc". Particularly shocked by the English drifts related to the Football, professionalism in the highest degree, Racingmen prefer to practice the Rugby much. It is necessary to await 1891 to find the trace of a meeting of football implying of the players of the club. However, it is only in 1896 that a section football is officially created there. After having missed the first three editions by the championship of France, Racing begins the competition in 1897. The following season, Racing removes its first trophy by gaining the Cut To handle. In 1902, Racing finishes first of the championship of Paris U.S.F.S.A., but is inclined finally national vis-a-vis the R.C. Roubaix 3-4 after prolongation. The victorious goal of the Northerners is registered with… the 175e minute!

Various names of Racing

1882 : foundation of the general sports club of Racing club of France (athletics).
1896 : creation of the section football.
1932 : professional section and name change: Racing Club of Paris.
1966 : abandonment of the professional section and one season fusion with Sedan (CCP-Sedan).
1967 : Racing club of France.
1983 : fusion with the Paris FC, professional section. The club adopts the name of Racing Club of Paris.
1987 : In spite of the existence of payments prohibiting this practice since 1920, the club incorporates in its name a trade mark: Matra, and becomes the Matra Racing.
1989 : Disengagement of the Matra group in the club. this one takes then the name of Racing Paris 1 (RP1)
1990: The RP1 retrogressed sportivement in D2 voluntarily decides to go down in D3, considering the risk of bankruptcy too high
1991: Racing 92.
1995: Racing club of France 92.
1999: Racing Club of Paris.
2005 : Racing club of France 92.
2006: Racing club of France.
2007 : Racing club of France Football 92
