Biography

Days off Future Past

Rachel comes from another reality, that of Days off Future Past , in which Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey had a girl.

Rachel Summers first of all appears at the side of a group of resistant in the alternative future " Days off Future Past" , in which the human ones controlled the mutants. She there is the partner of a Franklin Richards adult, and makes use of her capacities to return in the past the conscience of Kate Pryde, future equivalent of the young Spark and leader of mutant resistance, in order to avoid the event which will lead to this future Dystopique (the assassination of Robert Kelly).

She reappears in the present in the series Uncanny X-Men and New Mutants , but the precise circumstances of its arrival are developed only in the episodes of Excalibur . In the future of " Days off Future Past" , Rachel Summers is captured shortly after the assassination of Charles Xavier and undergoes a conditioning making of it a " Limier" , that is to say a hunter of mutant, with the service of Ahab. The resistance carried out by Kate Pryde releases Rachel which joined the movement. At the time of an attack, being known encircled, Kate Pryde starts a post-hypnotic suggestion in Rachel by the words " Phoenix Noir". The appearance of Nécrom, incarnation of died and by là-même antithesis of the Phoenix, proves traumatisante for Rachel which sinks in the catatonie, and is collected by the Phoenix force which will try to cure it. This operation propels it in another future, that of Cable and Askani. Rachel becomes the founder of the movement of Askani in fight against a world governed by Apocalypse and its adoptive son Stryfe. Cable, in the present, will manage to put an end to the threat Apocalypse at the time of the history " In the search of Cyclope". Released by Cable, it tries to move away from the life super-heroic for a time and joined a university. It is however captured and controlled by Elias Bogdan, enemy of the X-Treme X-Men who uses it to corrupt his former companions.

Marvel Girl

Once released, Rachel returns to the center of X-Men shortly after the death of his/her mother. Borrowing the original code name of Jean Grey (" Marvel Girl"), it joined the XSE (X-Treme Sanctions Executive). She however encounters many resumptions with Emma Frost, principal and partner of the " père" of Rachel, for personal objections (the last collaboration of Emma with the Club of Damnés, person in charge of the forfeiture of the first Phoenix, the quasi adulterous relation of Emma and Cyclops of living of Jean Grey, etc)

She recently was the victim of attacks of agents of the Shiar empire the purpose of which were of éradiquer the threat of the Phoenix. With this intention, those eliminated the unit from the Grey family and marked Rachel so as to be able to locate it and track it constantly. First of all swearing to avenge its family, it agrees to give the assassins to the authorities. She also was captured and used by the mysterious Vulcan in order to reveal the hidden side of Xavier.

Capacities

She has the same capacities as her mother: telekinesis and telepathy. It also has in it the known cosmic entity under the name of Phoenix.

She also discovered the capacity, seldom used, to pass physically in holes of time, capacity which she shares with her alternate brother, Cable. She can also sent her psychic body in time like that of others (e.g. Kate Pryde during The Days off Future Past).
