Races of the littoral of the North Sea
The littoral of the North Sea is the cradle of an original bovine population. The races which of it result present common characters.
Origin
This branch comes from the shores of the the North Sea, of the Netherlands to the Denmark. It would have been domesticated by the Germanic people and would have followed them in their migrations. It was introduced in England by the Angles and the Saxons. From this country, they will colonize North America with the waves of migration.Issu of an area of Europe very populated as of the the Middle Ages, this branch comprises very effective races, contributing has to give the best possible output on surface weak but to the rich pastures. It is the bovine branch which is most important, as well on the level of manpower than of the number of races as it contributed to improve.
Common characters
They are races of large size, with the fine skeleton, black and white dress (red, blue or black) and with the short horns.Lor breeding conquered the whole world by the quality of his individuals selected to the extreme.

- Aptitude for the fattening: the modern prototype is the Hereford.

- In flat, its capacities of adaptation are less: they rise well in territories whose characteristics approach the rich person and fatty flat grassy of their soil of origin.
