RISC PC
RISC PC is a Ordinateur initially manufactured by Acorn. It is structured around the Microprocesseur S RISC of the family ARM. Its Operating system is RISC OS. Versions of Linux and BSD are also available.
Launched in 1994, RISC PC was an attempt to insert processors RISC in the microcomputers, by creating a machine with the innovating design:

Its numerical on 8 ways in stereophony;
- fast graphic Coprocessor;
- modular Case;
- Connector industry advanced and complete;
- Operating system in ROMANIAN, for a quasi instantaneous starting (what reduces however the upgrading capabilities);
- Environment multitasks and multiviewport (WIMP).
The disappearance of Acorn in 1998 did not mark the end of RiscPC, whose clones continue to be manufactured.
