RG Veda
RG VEDA ( 聖伝 - RG VEDA- , seiden ) is a Manga in 10 volumes (all appeared in France published by Tonkam), carried out by the group of dessinatrices CLAMP between 1990 and 1996, prépublié in the Wings monthly magazine in Japan. It was adapted in OAV.
The name of work is a particular C-W communication of an old Hindu text, the Rig-Veda, and decides/ʁig.veda/.
History
Prophecy

Mythology
- Veda (in Sanskrit: knowledge, truth) are a whole of texts in the center of the religion hindouist. There exist four Vedas, whose Rig Veda is oldest.
Significance of the main characters
- Ashura is the Japanese equivalent of the word “Asura” which indicates the démoniaques spirits in the religion hindouist
- Ryu means dragon in Japanese
- Taishakuten in Buddhist mythology, also called Indra in Hindu mythology, represents the god of the war and the thunder, god of the center. It is with the head of the gods of the sky, including 4 guards of the sky (Shi Tennô): Jikokuten (Is), Zouchoten (Southern), Koumokuten (Western), Bishamonten (Northern)).
- Bishamonten, the guard of the Northern sky, orders two classes of mythical spirits: Yashas and Rasetsus.
