The RAND Corporation , founded in 1945, is an American institution with nonlucrative goal which aims to improve the Politique and the decision-making process by the Recherche and analyzes it. The Corp RAND, which is based in California, is regarded as a Think American tank.
History
RAND is the acronym of the English terms Research and Development (research and development).
Founded in 1945 by the US Air Force and under contract with the aeronautical company Douglas Aircraft Company, the RAND project publishes the headed document Preliminary Design off Experimental year World-Circling Spaceship , a technical analysis treating of the possibilities of design of an Artificial satellite able to turn around the Ground.
She considers the structural embarked powerplants, weights, the optimum values of design, the trajectories, stability and the landing.
May 14th, 1948, the RAND Project separates from the Douglas Aircraft Company and becomes an independent organization with nonlucrative goal.
