R407c

----

The R407c is a Mélange zeotropic (≠ Azéotrope): R134a (52%), of R125 (25%) and of R32 (23%). These three gases have temperatures of different evaporation and condensation. Of this fact one observes a phenomenon of slip of temperature of approximately 5°C.

Properties:

    Gas
  • under the atmospheric conditions
  • Colorless
  • non flammable

Industrial applications

  • the R407c is mainly used like refrigerating fluid for applications of positive Froid (to the top of 0°C).

  • One finds the R407c in industry for cold of process, but also for air-conditioning. He more or less became the substitute of the R22. Soon, and for various reasons, R407c will be confined with industry while the R410a, more powerful, will be used as well in the field of the air-conditioning as of industry.

Physical properties (ASHRAE 2005)

  • molecular Mass: 86.204
  • critical Temperature: 186.8612°F
  • critical Pressure: 671.5 psi
  • the R407C is in a1 class of the group of safety. It has an effect of cooling Net of 70.2 BTU/lb what makes of him a cooling agent slightly more effective than the R22.
