The Río Negro (or Black River ) is a river of Uruguay, affluent of the Río Uruguay which takes its source in the south of the Brésil. It divides the country of the North-East towards South-west into two parts égales.
The river is very important for the country since it feeds out of drinking water all the country, it allows navigation on most of its course and it provides the majority of the electricity necessary to the country thanks to the Barrage S of Bonete, Baygorria and Palmar, which form consequently occasion of the very important artificial Lac S.
