On the Bolivian altiplano, Río Lauca still receives the contributions of various brooks and small rivers, like Río Sajama resulting from the Nevado Sajama and Río Coipasa, increasing its flow up to 8 m ³ /seconde, before transfering finally in the south to finish in the Lac Coipasa flanked salar of the same name.
Río Lauca has a 225 kilometers length.
