Río Itonamas

The Río Itonamas also called Río San Miguel in her higher course is a river of Bolivia, affluent of the Río Guaporé. This river runs in the Département of Blessed.

Río Itonamas has its source in the Laguna Concepción with the coordinates of 61°18' 0uest and Southern 17°25', lagoon of which he is the emissary. It moves towards the west initially, then gradually towards the north-north-west. Its length is of 760 km. It has like major affluents: Río Santa Bárbara and Río Quizer.

It is in fact the last link of a chain of river and wetlands or lagoons, which begin with the Río Parapetí and Bañados LED Izozog.

The surface of the basin of Río Itonamas (Río Parapetí excluded) is of 21.787 km ².
