Río Grijalva

The Río Grijalva is a Fleuve Mexico southernmost, tributary of the Gulf of Mexico, length 600 km. It takes its source to 4026 m, on the Volcan Tacana, in the mountains of the Chiapas and runs in direction of the State de Tabasco, crossing the Canyon of Sumidero before reaching the Baie of Campêche. It owes its name with Juan de Grijalva which explored this area in 1518.
