RésistanceS

RésistanceS is a Non-profit-making association Belgian which was given for object to act as a Observatoire of the extreme right-hand side . Initially association in fact, regarded as close relation of the left , it published a political review of analysis of 1997 to 2000 and, since 1998, publishes its investigations into an Internet site.

General presentation

Created in Belgium by Manual Abramowicz accompanied by a team militant and voluntary and published by Jacques Yerna, a leader trade unionist antifascist inhabitant of Li2ege, the center of studies and formation for the democratic action RésistanceS exists since 1997. The current members médiatisés, among ten collaborators often of sensitivity of left, are Manuel Abramowicz, collaborator of the Center for the equal opportunity and the fight against racism and Nadia Geerts, general secretary of the Republican Circle.

The review appeared in 1996, and was in particular diffused with the Labor Day, on May 1st, 1997. The review disappears in 2000, and its investigations are consequently published into Internet, while association takes the statute of absl in 2002.

This Non-profit-making association is devoted to the “Antifascisme”, by the means of information and political analyzes. RésistanceS is active on the ground while taking part in public conferences, conferences, formations and publishes a review on line. The milked review of the extreme right-hand side, but also of sectarian groups. It thus revealed the presence with the Vlaams Blok of Jean-Robert Debbaudt, near of Leon Degrelle, like various information on movements like the National front, of the Flemish groups Néonazi S, the Gray Loups, or the sect Nouvelle Acropolis in Belgium.

RésistanceS gradually became one of the references concerning the Belgian extreme-right-hand side: thus, the Guide of resistances to the extreme right-hand side obtained the Condorcet-Aron Price of the best French-speaking book to the Parlement of the French Community of Belgium, and the Atlas of the diplomatic Monde quotes from now on RésistanceS like “Belgian reference against the extreme line”.

RésistanceS also diffused television reports, like “One day or the other, one could all be victim of the extreme right-hand side” , realized in collaboration with the Group socialist of action and reflection on the audio-visual one (GSARA), and diffused like “Educational tools against the extreme lines” the day before the European elections of 2004, “the hidden side of the Vlaams Blok” (2004), “the back cooks National front” (2005), two reports of the journalist of the RTBF Jean-Claude Defossé, and the emission “To defer” RTL-TVi devoted to those which fight against the extreme line (2005). In addition, of the journalists of RésistanceS intervenes in the media as consultant and expert.

RésistanceS took part in the commemorations of the 10th birthday of the Génocide of Tutsis, with Rwandan association “Ibuka - Memory & Justice”.
