Réole

Réole is a common French, located in the department of the the Gironde and the area Aquitaine, close to Langon and Bazas.

Réole

The name of the city comes from Latin " Regula" , the " Règle" ecclesiastic de Saint Benoit that followed the Moine S of the Prieuré of the Bénédictin S, which overhangs the the Garonne, and shelters the Mairie today, administrations and the municipal Bibliothèque.

Geography

Réole is a borough strengthened around a Prieuré located on the the Garonne at 64 km at the South East of Bordeaux. Formerly sub-prefecture of the Gironde, Réole is a dynamic chief town of canton today, although the number of inhabitants tends to decrease.

Old Automobile Museum , agricultural, Military and railway (closed during the summer 2006, an auction of the vehicles took place the Sunday the 1st er October 2006)
Pont suspended of 150 m on the Garonne, built in 1934.

the Château of the 4 S.O.S (4 sisters) was strengthened at the end of the 12th century, besieged in 1345, it was finally partly dismantled in 1629 on order of the Cardinal of Richelieu. Today three turns remain in the state of which that of south-west named the Thomasse .

Réole is a town of Cinéma since the middle of the 20th century. Three rooms were established there at one time: the Casino , close to the Town hall, the Rex on the Place of the Release and a room had been created in the buildings of the Friendly Layman, at the entry Is city. Today, only the Rex still lives thanks to the action of association " The Réolais" Screen;. It belongs to the 32 cinemas of proximity established in the Gironde.
