Régine

Régine , of its complete name Régine Zylberberg , is a French artist , born the December 26th 1929 with Anderlecht in Belgium. She was several successes in the song: P' tits papers , Large Zoa , Azzurro .

Biography

Conceived in Argentinian, it is born with Anderlecht, above the paternal bakery which held his/her parents Juif S Polish.

The " Queen of Nuit"

After having been record dealer in a club of night, it opens with Paris a Nightclub, whose Francoise Sagan will ensure notoriety quickly. It is called the “Queen of the night” for her frequent appearances, as of 1951 with the Whiskey in Gogo, then in its many discotheques in the whole world: At Régine , New Jimmy' S . She ironically says to have " inventé" the discotheque. It is indeed the first to have installed plays of lights coloured on a track of dance. In New Jimmy' S, it launches the Twist to France in 1961.

It takes then courses of song and, encouraged by Renee Lebas, decides to launch out in the song. She interprets many titles especially created for her by the most known authors, to start with Charles Aznavour, with Nounours , and Henri Salvador, with Oublie me . Then Serge Gainsbourg writes to him the p' tits papers , It is called " Reviens" , Why pyjamas? , women, that made fag . Frederic Botton writes to him Large Zoa , and Barbara Gueule of night . Many other prestigious authors and type-setters write for Régine, of which Emil Stern, Eddy Marnay, Francis Lai, Jean Cau, Jean-Loup Dabadie, Michel Grisolia, Charles Level, Francoise Sagan, Serge LAMA, Romano Musumarra, Francoise Dorin, Didier Barbelivien, Michel Leeb.

She receives in 1967 the " Price Pierre-Brive Consécration" Academy Charles-Cross-country race, at the same time as Jacques Dutronc.

Régine occurs on the scenes of the whole world in reviews or song recitals: Bobino, the Olympia, the Madnesses Shepherdesses, the Carnegie Hall,… In 1970, in the Theater of the Door Saint Martin's day in Paris, it takes part, with dimensions of Nicole Croisille and Mouloudji, with the musical comedy snow in summer of Jacques Lanzmann.

It is found then actress with the cinema, in particular in the Train or in Ripoux .

After the spectacle

She takes again in Paris in 1988 the restaurant the Senior , then opens the Régine' S Montaigne not far from the Fields-Élysées.

Counting on its notoriety, it launches some perfumes: Régine (1989), Jimmy' Z for man, Zoa .

It publishes its memories Appelez me by my first name ; the book in 1996 in a telefilm directed by Pierre Aknine and interpreted by Claire Keim and Victor Lanoux. In 2006, it makes appear Me, my stories with the Éditions of the Rock.

It founds association S.O.S Dopes International in 1984. In 2005 with the profit of S.O.S Habitat and Care (association " soeur" of S.O.S Dopes International), it takes part during eight weeks in the emission Firm Celebrities 2 where it will go until in semi-final in spite of many nominations.

The September 8th 2006, it is victim of a mild heart attack at the time of a repetition to the Théâtre of the Rebirth for the part " If it were with refaire" , of Laurent Ruquier of which the first representation, the September 20th were to mark its beginnings with the theater.

Régine is the mother of the journalist Lionel Rotcage, born the August 13rd 1948 and deceased the September 26th 2006.

She is Chevalier of the Légion of honor since 1995.
