Réal Ménard

Réal Ménard , is the federal deputy of the district of Hochelaga located at the Quebec since 1993. He is a member of the Québécois Bloc.

Biographical details

Réal Ménard was born the May 13rd 1962 with Montreal in the district Hochelaga-Maisonneuve with Montreal in the province from Quebec with the Canada.

He attends the elementary school Jeanne-In Arc and the public secondary school Saint-Emile. He will continue academic works with the Université of Montreal. He obtains there in baccalaureat in history and later a control in Political sciences.

During its collegial studies he works as day laborer in a warehouse of shoes of a commercial large chain. In parallel, in 1984, it is elected local president of the Parti Québécois the district of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. In 1984 it makes knowledge with the active policy whereas it is presented for the federal small part which is the nationalist Parti Quebec in the district of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

In 1988 it becomes attached political of the deputy provincial Louise Harel what it constrained to yield the room presidency of the Parti Québécois. In 1991 it founds the local section of the federal political party militant for the independence of the Quebec, the Québécois Bloc. In 1992 It is selected like candidate for the Québécois Bloc with the federal poll and it gives up its station of political attache at the office of Louise Harel. He is elected at the time of the election of 1993 and he becomes an important deputy within the Caucus of the party. Its homosexual orientation also makes a defender of merry and Québécois lesbians and it is regularly associated with various files associated at this community.
