Rèmes
The Rèmes - Latin Remi - were a Gallic people. Their name means " premiers".
Oppida
Their chief town was Vieux Rheims with Variscourt before moving with Rheims. Several oppida is identified: the Rheims Old man with Variscourt, Rheims, the camp of Attila with Cheppe and the oppidum of the Old man-Laon located with Saint-Thomas (Aisne) which could be the famous site of Bibrax, about which Jules César in his " speaks; War of Gaules" and close it gained in 57 front J.C large but bloody victory against the Belgian united. Policy
Before the arrival of the Romans, Rèmes were combined with the Ambiani, the Bellovaques and the Atrébates. They are combined quickly in César at the time of the war of Gaules, faithful combined, they will never betray their engagements.
Coining
Rèmes emitted currencies of several natures. Statères and quarter of statères in Gold or Electrum, sums of money in money, Bronze S, and Pewter S.-
Statère with eye (LT.8799): Anépigraphe.
With the Reverse, a horse is directed on the left, surmounted by a V beaded. Between its legs is a pointed and beaded ring.

Quarter of statère to the segments of a circle (LT.8030):
On the Revers a horse is on the right a virgle on the basis of the head. Between its legs a star appears.
- Sum of money CALEDV (LT.7177):
Reverse: Horse on the left surmounting a line and surmounted of an overshot Esse. A ring pointed between the legs.
- Sum of money ATEVLA/VLATOS (LT.7191):
Reverse (VLATOS): Bull on the right on a line of epigraph, raising the head. Surmounted of a ess and a pentagram enters the legs. A half-circle centered under the line of epigraph, surrounded by Grènetis.
- Bronze Remo/Remo (LT.8040):
Reverse (REMO): Bige on the left with a winged aurige holding a whip gotten into the tank.
This rather widespread currency coexisted with the Roman currencies.
- Bronze Remo/Remo (LT.8040var):
Reverse (REMO): Bige on the right with a winged aurige holding a whip gotten into the tank.
This rather rare currency would be an awkward and late imitation.
- Bronze Remos/Atisios (LT.8054 and LT.8082):
Reverse (REMOS): Lion on the left, the tail passing between the legs. Esse S located at the top and in lower part, surrounded by Grènetis.
- Pewter with the character running (LT.8124):
Avers: Character running towards the line holding torque and a lance.
Reverse: Animal compared to a bear eating a surmounted snake of a Fibule.

Reverse: Surmounted animal of a anthropomorphic Fibule.

- Pewter with the bucrane (LT.8351):
Currency Anépigraphe.
Avers: Bucrane between two esses, surmounted of a plume and globule enters the horns.
Reverse: Animal compared to a bear or elephant attacking a snake.
- Pewter with the character of face (Goddess to the plaits) (LT.8145):
Currency Anépigraphe.
Avers: Character with plaits, of face, sitted as a tailor, torque in the right hand, a braid in the left hand. (topic found in the burial of Vix)
Reverse: Wild boar directed on the right, a star enters the legs and to the top of the head, surmounted of a fibule.
- Pewter with angel (LT.8135):
Avers: Head stylized on the left, capped of four large wicks.
Reverse: On the right going character, armed with un' lance in the right hand and a shield.
