Qwest Center Omaha
The Qwest Center Omaha is a general sports room and a center of conference located at Omaha in the Nebraska.
Its capacity is of 17 560 places for the Basketball, 16 680 for the Hockey and 18 300 for the concerts. The room has 32 continuations of luxury and 1100 seats of club.
History
In 2000, the voters of Omaha approved a obligation of 216 million dollars to build a new center of convention and a sports hall; the remainder of the financing of 291 million dollars was provided by private individuals and organizations. The rights of name of the arena were bought by Qwest; Qwest Center Omaha is open in September 2003 with a first capacity of 17 000 places for concerts, of 15 500 for the Basketball, and of 14 700 for the Hockey. An extension of $5,7 million USD of Qwest Center by the addition of approximately 1500 seats began in May 2006 and was accomplished in September of the same year.
