Quod Libet

Quod Libet is a audio Lecteur GTK+ writes in Python. Its main aim is to provide a tool to its users so that they can organize their musical collection with their manner.

One of the interesting functionalities of Quod Libet is the possibility of creating lists of reading starting from research (in particular using rational expressions). It also organizes very well the collections of several thousands of songs. It includes also an editor of beacons (tag editor, Ex Falso, who is available separately) which modifies the meta-data by groups of files.

Quod Libet uses GStreamer to manage the reading of music. The support of the audio formats depends on the modules which were installed although MP3 and OGG are supported by defect.

Quod Libet can be improved by programming extensions in Python scripts. Certain extensions are available on the site of Quod Libet, they can between-other develop the possibilities of modifications of the beacons (tag), copy the songs from a reader digital audio and post with the screen the tracks which are played.
