Quintus Marcius Tremulus
Quintus Marcius Tremulus was a political personality of the Roman République, of the family of the Marcii.
In 306 before J. - C., it is Consul with Publius Cornelius Arvina. The Second war samnite ends in a Roman victory, and the Roman Sénat must decide fate of the prisoners Herniques who fought at the side of Samnites. The majority of the hernic cities declare the war in Rome then. While Cornelius Arvina is sent against the Samnites, Marcius Tremulus leaves to fight the Herniques, that it forces quickly and easily to ask peace. The Senate delegates the full powerss to him to receive their capitulation, as well as a tribute to be poured for each one of its six month old soldiers of balance and of a tunic. Marcius then leaves in Samnium to lend hand-strong to his/her colleague. Samnites try to be opposed to their junction by separately facing Marcius in arranged battle, but they are beaten when Cornelius Arvina joined the battle field and the attack of side. This last defeat constrained Samnites to ask peace. Marcius sends their delegates to Rome and their fact of pouring with each Roman soldier three months of corn provisions, one year of balance and a tunic. While Cornelius Arvina remains in monitoring at Samnites, Marcius returns to Rome to celebrate its Triomphe on Herniques. The Senate decrees the honor to him to set up its equestrian statue on the forum in front of the Temple of Beaver.
In 288 before J. - C., he is consul for the second time still with Publius Cornelius Arvina.
