In 68 front J. - C., as a Consul, it fights in Cilicie.
In 66 front J. - C., it gives up its province because of the Lex Manilia which granted to Pompée an exceptional military capacity in the province of Asia.
In 63 front J. - C., it is ready to receive a Triomphe in reward of its combat in Cilicie. When the Conjuration of Catilina bursts, it fights against Manlius, in favor of Catilina. He dies in 61 front J. - C.
