Quintus Hortensius

Quintus Hortensius was a Roman politician .
In 287 av. J. - C., it is dictator, after the Plèbe made secession, while being withdrawn on the Janicule, on Right Bank of the the Tiber.
In order to solve this conflict it promulgates the Lex Hortensia , which stipulates that the decisions of the Comices tributes, will have the force of law, and will concern all the Roman people henceforth. But the Patricien S will still refuse long years this law. This law puts an end to the political struggle plebs, for the equality of their right, with the patricians (Guerre of the orders).
