Quim Monzó

Quim Monzó I Gómez , born on March 24th, 1952 with Barcelona, is a contemporary writer Catalan, author of several short stories and proses, generally in Catalan. He lives with Barcelona and publishes regularly in El Periódico , Vanguardia and other newspapers Spanish. Its work is characterized by references to the pop culture and by some Ironie. One meets this certain humor in his proses. One can note, in a collection of his tests, Catorze ciutats comptant-hi Brooklyn , a certain fascination for the New York of after September 11th. In the beginning of years 1970, Monzó signed reports with the Vietnam, with the Kampuchea, in Northern Ireland and Africa for the newspapers Índic and Tele/purposely. In collaboration with Cuca Canals, he wrote the dialogs of the film Jambon, ham of Bigas Luna. He also wrote, with Jerome Savary, El tango of Gift Joan . He also took part has many emissions of radio and Télévision.
