Quilotoa
The Quilotoa is a Volcan of Ecuador culminating to 3.914 Mr., located at about thirty kilometers in the west of Latacunga, capital of the province of Cotopaxi. It is located at the south of the Western Cordillera.
The first historical eruption of this volcano occurred the November 28th 1660. Another eruption would have occurred in 1859.
As in Cotacachi, the Quilotoa volcano has a splendid lagoon, which one reaches by a footpath (altitude 3800 m)
