QuikSCAT

The QuikSCAT (Quick Scatterometer) is a satellite of ground observation which provides information on the speed and the direction of the winds on the oceans to NOAA. It is the machine of help intended to provide missing information following the loss of the data of the diffusiometer of the NASA, (NSCAT) which was lost in June 1997. It is placed on a low orbit heliosynchronous.
