Queyran

The Queyran is a small country in the north of the Gascogne and the west of the department of Lot-et-Garonne (area Aquitaine). Located on left bank of the the Garonne and centered on Casteljaloux, it is included/understood between:

• the Bazadais in the west,
• the the Garonne in north,
• the Albret in the east
• the Moors of Gascogne in the south.

Queyran is today in the area of influence of Marmande, concretized by the Pays Valley of the Garonne-Gascogne. Today only the small commune of Villefranche-of-Queyran the and an area service on the Bordeaux-Toulouse highway, is there to point out the existence of this small country.
