Queugne
The Queugne is a Rivière center of the long France 28,5 km and affluent of the Cher. It sprinkles the departments of the Cher and Allier.
Geography
The Queugne is born with 378 meters from altitude to Chambérat. It runs in the Département Allier where it crosses six communes and in the Département of Expensive the where it passes in two communes, mainly to Épineuil-le-Fleuriel. It takes the north-eastern direction throughout its course. The principal Affluent of the Queugne is the Ox, of which it does not grow bigger at all since it is not at all broad (approximately a meter of width). Actually the Ox would throw itself in the Canal of Berry. The Queugne passes in lower part of this one to the hamlet of " Queugne". A few hundred meters further it is thrown in the Cher with 167 meters of altitude. It is an affluent of left bank.
History of the Tubular bridge
The Tubular bridge of the Queugne was built on September 20th, 1825 and its author is the engineer Auniet. This bridge is with the property of the commune of Épineuil-le-Fleuriel. It comprises two coupled locks in order to have a direction alternated for the circulation of the boats. Its basin is widened in 1866 but in 1887 one plans to withdraw one of the two locks in order to reduce the time of passage. In 1883, a building is built in order to have a statistical office and in 1896, there is a procedure with a complete repair of all masonries.
