Quentin Butler

Quentin Butler is a character of the fictitious universe of Dune which appears in the series, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, chronologically located before the initial saga of Dune of Frank Herbert.

Going down from the Butler family which count Serena Butler, figurehead and martyr of the Jihad Butlérien, Quentin Butler is illustrated as an officer in this fight between Humanity and the suresprit robotized Omnius. Combatant the Thinking machines of the sides of Vorian Atréides and his sons Faykan Butler and Rikov Butler, it takes part in the reputation of the Butler family, already very important.

Following the destruction of Worlds Synchronized and at the time of a mission of routine on one of these worlds, it is captured by the Titans. Transformed in its turn into Cymek, he refuses to collaborate until Vorian Atréides comes to its rescue. Together, communicating using known signs of them only, they will prepare an ambush in which will mouront Agamemnon, general of the Titans and proper father of Vorian and his/her partner Junon. Quentin Butler will launch out then to the continuation of the last of the Titans, which it will kill by sacrificing his own life. A suitable end for Quentin for whom it was unthinkable to turn over near his thus private of his human envelope.
