Queja de Portnoy

Inge De Bruin , born the August 24th 1973 with Barendrecht, is a Dutch swimmer .

Beginning with the championships from Europe from 1991, where it gains a title out of relay and 3 other medals, it gains a bronze medal with the championships of the being held world the same year, always out of relay.

It disputes with Barcelona its first Olympic Games of summer, finishing finalist of the 100 m and 4x100 freestyle. Démotivée, it does not take part in the Plays of Atlanta.

It returns on its best level in 1999, becoming champion of Europe of the 50 m freestyle and the 100 m butterfly, and obtaining a money medal on 100m freestyle.

2000 is its great year: it becomes triple Olympic champion at the time of the Jeux of Sydney, on 50 m and 100 m freestyle, like on 100 m butterfly, but also money medal out of relay 4x100 m freestyle. To these medals 3 world records are added. The beginning of the season had already been promising with several world records.

It confirms this dash the following year with the championships of the world, obtaining 3 new gold medals. At the time of the following championships of the world, in 2003 with Barcelona, it obtains the 2 titles out of 50 m, freestyle and butterfly.

At the time of the Plays of Athens, with more than 30 years, it continues its harvest of medals, with a new Olympic title on 50 m freestyle, accompanied by 2 bronze medals out of 100 m butterfly and relay.
