Definition
At the social Insects (Ant S, Bee S, Termite S, etc), the queen indicates the only female of a colony which with the capacity to reproduce and thus lay eggs.
How to become queen in the bees
With the birth the bees are born equal, and all are nourished of royal Jello until the 3rd day. But only one will become queen while being nourished of this same frost 4th and the 5th day of its existence.
Case of the bee
The queen ensures the perenniality of the colony and the workers fill all the tasks of maintenance and production. The males whose role is only the reproduction are tolerated in the hive the space of a summer. Those which accompany the queen during the nuptial flight to fertilize it die immediately afterwards. The hive wakes up in spring and the bees carry out the essence of their activities until the autumn.
