Quantitative variable
Says itself, in statistics, of a variable for which the Valeur measured on each Individu represents a Quantité. One can then calculate a total for a Ensemble individuals.
Example of the weight of a Together of individuals. If several individuals goes up on a balances, them total Masse is the nap their individual masses.
Against example of the Variable stage of a Together of residences. This Variable is measured by a Nombre, but it is not a Quantité, one cannot make a total with the stages several residences. On the other hand, the Variable " pièces" residences is quantitative .
The quantitative variable are opposed to the qualitative variable , for which the calculation of a total associated with several individuals starting from their individual values cannot result from a Mathematical operation.
