Quantify 7 in Tunisia

The figure 7 in Tunisia is symbolically associated with the presidency with Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali (with the capacity since the November 7th 1987).

History

The Chiffre 7 has a strong symbolic system in many cultures and in particular in the mystical cultures, the religious cultures Judeo-Christians on the one hand and Moslem women on the other hand.

This figure appears, at the sides of the omnipresent image of president Ben Ali, in the near total of the public places: administrations, coffees, stores, avenues, schools, means of transport - famous Tuninter airline company Sevenair the July 7th 2007 or name of an airliner of the company Tunisair -, stages (like that of Roads), infrastructures (like the international airport of Tabarka), etc

The capacity symbolic system of figure 7 is as used by the political regime in the field of the media as it controls and in particular Télévision. Thus, the first national chain is famous TV7 then Tunis 7. It is also used as code of the numbers of Téléphone: thus the numbers of the area of Tunis starts with 71, those of the area of the the Sahel by 73, etc
