QuakeNet
QuakeNet (irc.quakenet.org) is one of the wide-area networks IRC in the world, the number of connected is on average {{formatnum: 200000}} people on: 180000 living rooms. The February 8th 2005, the network recorded the record of: 243394 simultaneous connections.
QuakeNet was founded in 1997 like a network IRC for the players of QuakeWorld. QuakeNet knew an exceptional growth during years by attracting many players. This popularity had mainly thanks to the stability of the network and its club-footed ones of services, Q and L .
QuakeNet robots
QuakeNet has many robots of services, in particular Q , which are very different from the services of other networks. These robots are:

G - Service of automatic assistance, second version of H and F.
- L - the “light weight”. It is used to help the users to manage their Chanel (used in the majority of the " petits" channels)
- NO - beta NOperserv (Operserv for API NewServ)
- N4 - Monitoring service of NewServ (P' S)
- O - the Opérateur robot, which is used by Opers
- P - the scanner of proxys, second version (NewServ module)
- Q - the principal robot of QuakeNet. It is used to help the users to manage their Chanel (used in the majority of the " gros" channels)
- Q9 - New version of Q, currently under development
- R - Service for the " demande" Q/L (NewServ module)
- S - service “Anti-Spam”, second version (NewServ module)
- T - “Anti-Trojans” service, second version (NewServ module)
- U - Driving of script Lua (NewServ module)
- W - Advertiser of score of the Football world cup 2006W (only on #worldcup)
- Y - Monitoring service of NewServ
- Z - Monitoring service of NewServ (uses unstable code and Nterfacer)
But also:

Tutor - Allows to launch the tutoriels, manages the questions of the users and the answers on #tutorial (NewServ module)
- DevChat - Used for the discussions of developers (as “TutorTutor”) (NewServ module) (is charged only when it is in the course of use)

- E - Service E-mail, used for the system of trust and to send E-mail of acceptance or rejection of the request.
- F - Club-footed used to manage #feds (replaced per G)
- H - Service of automatic assistance (NewServ module) (replaced per G)
- M - Club-footed of match, used in order to defer statistics of waiters of online game (was on line only very briefly)
- V - Scanner of virus - also used for scanner the Version
